They have teamed up as partners in this new Knoxville arts venue to produce something brand new - the Holler Performing Arts Center. Episode 65, "Jesus Christ Superstar"
This week I enlist the assistance of some of Knoxville's theatrical brain trust to give me their opinions on NBC's "Jesus Christ Superstar - Live", as well as give a brief overview of the history of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's 1971 Rock Opera. It's a controversial production, and Knoxville is no stranger to controversial opinions - both theatrical, religious and otherwise - and this episode seeks to dig a little into what Webber and Rice were trying to say with their take on the last days in the life of Jesus Christ.
